Fran Shammo, the Chief Executive Officer for the Verizon, in a conference call stated to its customers that the next iPhone is going to be the world phone. It means that it will be used on all networks irrespective of CDMA or GSM. This means that Verizon iPhone would be able to be used anywhere in the world on any network. This is because of the inclusion Gobi chipset, made by Qualcomm, in the recent iPhone made for Verizon, which is going to be for the world phone usage.
